Pinned Items

Pinned items allows you to directly tailor search terms for enhanced accuracy. In SPARQUE Hub, you can manage your pinned items. Pinned items are products boosted (top) or buried (bottom) on the search result page. For example, “samsung”: If a user searches for “samsung”, all products matching this brand name will be boosted/buried on the search result page. By default, it is possible to use a single word query or a category identifier. You can pin individual SKUs or all products matching a brand.

Configuring Pinned Items

To configure your pinned items, navigate to SPARQUE Hub | Search | Pinned Items.

Adding a Pinned Item

To add a pinned item:

  1. Click Add pinned item.
  2. Enter a new query or category ID.
  3. Enter an SKU or brand.
  4. Choose boost (for example, score 1) or bury (for example, score -1).
  5. Click Save.

Deleting a Pinned Item

To delete a pinned item:

  1. Click Delete in the pinned item's row.

Dataset in SPARQUE

Each pinned item is stored in SPARQUE Desk. For each set, a pingroup object will be created. Each object has a unique identifier with pin, prio and query as attribute. This object can be used in the SPARQUE strategies.
